A Message from the President Thank you for visiting the AGA Central Arkansas Chapter's website. In the last couple of months, our Chapter Officers have worked together to plan another year full of activities including educational, community service, early careers networking, and social events to promote AGA and government accountability. The AGA Central Arkansas Chapter has scheduled monthly meetings to be held in the Arkansas Natural Resources - River Room. We have educational speakers lined up for each meeting and we will provide a certificate for one hour of Continued Professional Education (CPE) at no charge for each meeting. In addition, we will host audio conferences following the October, November, January, February, and March monthly meetings. The audio conferences offer an opportunity for members to hear from industry leaders, obtain a certificate for two hours of CPE at no charge for each conference, and network with other AGA members. We will again support charitable organizations this year including: Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services Gingerbread Tree Program, Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program, and the Arkansas Food Bank. We will also continue our relationships with local colleges and universities and reach out to students by providing scholarship opportunities and speaking at Accounting Society and other events. In the months ahead, we will provide details in quarterly newsletters on future meetings and events, a recap of past events, and information to help our members successfully navigate the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) exam.
